About ASA
ASA brings consulting, teaching, line management, project management, and academic depth to your organization's challenges. The principal, Dr. Sangster, holds a Ph.D. in business strategy (from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management, Claremont Graduate University), and holds other advanced degrees in Finance (University of Southern California) and Management (California State University). Moreover, he brings over a decade of experience in business and technical strategy formation to consulting, training, and coaching projects. This combination of practical experience and in-depth knowledge of strategy research is a key part of the integrated outlook that ASA brings to bear on clients' needs. This integrated strategic outlook is also a function of the principal's extensive line and project management experience. Dr. Sangster has also published/presented in major business and engineering forums, and has taught business strategy, organizational behavior, finance, and quantitative analysis at graduate and undergraduate levels at several accredited universities. If your organizational needs go beyond these capabilities, ASA readily utilizes additional experts for consulting, training, and coaching as needed for a given project.
At ASA our goal is to understand the outlook and capabilities of our client organizations, and, utilizing that understanding, to improve a client's position through our experience and understanding of a wide array of techniques and disciplines. Business strategy optimization is in part an exercise in business judgement about external business conditions and internal organizational capabilities. But it is also an exercise in judgement that is materially improved with knowledge of -- and experience in -- the various techniques of strategy formation together with a knowledge of what insights from finance, economics, sociology, and psychology are relevant to the client's situation. We can probably help you with your business strategy.
At ASA we delight in working with management teams on their business strategy issues. To lean more about how we might assist you, click the Contact Us tab at the top of this window.
